Oldham Coupling

The Oldham coupling belongs with its special design to the group of crossdisc couplings. It allows for a parallel axle offset and also for small angular misalignements as well as axial displacements but, despite of this, ensures a backlash free torque transfer. Due to its design, this coupling is especially suitable for the construction of spindle drives with servo or stepper motors, for the mounting of encoders or many other applications with small or midsized torque values.
